Horseshoe Falls

The Canadian Horseshoe Falls is defined as much by its width as its drop. Niagara Parks gives the crest an approximate width of 670 metres, with water falling an average of 57 metres into the lower river. The immense curved edge is the feature to take time to appreciate.

Planning your visit

Choose a legal visitor parking area and the established Niagara Parks promenade rather than navigating directly to the waterfall coordinate. Paid attractions, cruises and parking each have separate operating schedules and charges. The outdoor view and a ticketed experience are different ways to plan the day.

Our take

The directory’s essential urban waterfall experience: easy to combine with services and attractions, but very different from a quiet forest walk.
