Western Brook Pond / Gros Morne · Boat / flight access

Pissing Mare Falls

Pissing Mare Falls descends into Western Brook Pond, part of Gros Morne’s extraordinary cliff-and-lake landscape. This is a waterfall best understood in its wider setting, with high rock walls framing the water below.

Planning your visit

For the Western Brook Pond boat experience, Parks Canada lists a moderate 3 km walk to the dock and a two-hour tour. Book with the operator and check weather and departure times. The walk to the dock is not a walking route to the waterfall base.

Our take

Choose this as a landscape excursion rather than a quick waterfall stop. Allow for the return walk and transport schedule in the rest of your day.
